Kids on board

Taking children on a boat trip is a fantastic and rewarding adventure for the whole family.

It opens the door to exciting experiences in nature where you can create unforgettable memories and learn valuable life lessons. Here's a guide to make boating with kids an unforgettable celebration filled with joy and laughter.

1. Safety First:
When taking kids on board, safety is your top priority. Make sure everyone on board has properly fitting life jackets and teach them how to use them. For the smallest children, it's recommended to choose a life jacket with a collar, so you can be sure the child is turned around and has a clear airway in case of an accident.

2. planning and preparation:
Preparation is the key to a successful boat trip with kids. Plan the route, check the weather forecast and make sure the boat is in good condition. Bring enough food, drinks and snacks to keep the kids happy and hydrated.

3. life-saving equipment and safety supplies:
In addition to life jackets, make sure you have life rafts, life rings and other life-saving equipment on board. Have a first aid kit ready and know its contents.

4. entertainment and activities:
Children can get restless on long trips, so bring entertainment and activities to keep them occupied. Books, games, coloring books and fishing gear are great ideas. Also, let the kids participate in the sailing experience by giving them small tasks.

5. Sea safety:
Teach kids basic sea safety, including how to move safely on board, how to use life jackets and how to react in case of an emergency.

6. Health and Hygiene:
Make sure children understand the importance of maintaining good hygiene on board. Bring hand sanitizer and wet wipes and pay attention to sun protection, as children are particularly sensitive to the sun's rays.

7. Nature exploration:
One of the biggest benefits of having children on a boat is the opportunity to explore nature. Take time to spot wildlife, teach about marine ecosystems and explain the importance of sustainability.

8. Swimming safety:
If you plan to swim or snorkel, make sure children are safe and have appropriate swimming gear. Keep an eye on them in the water and teach safety procedures.

9. Time for Relaxation:
Children need rest, so make sure there's a safe and comfortable place on board for them to rest. A good afternoon nap can energize them for more adventures.

10. Memorials and Sharing:
Encourage kids to document their experiences by drawing, taking pictures or writing in a journal. This allows them to reflect on and share their adventures with others.

A boat trip with kids can create lifelong memories and teach them about responsibility, teamwork and love of nature. Remember to cherish the moments you spend together on the water and let the kids explore and enjoy the adventure. With the right planning and attention to safety, boating can be one of the most memorable experiences for the whole family.
