HISTORY
Malouine was built as a cruising yacht for Sir Harry Broadhurst when he retired from offshore racing. Sometime later she was owned by Douglas Gill who founded the well-known sailing clothing company.
Malouine is slightly more beamy than other designs by Buchanan which gives her greateraccommodation space. She is a sea-kindly yacht driven by a modest masthead rig that is easy to handle by two people, she has cruised extensively.
Malouine has been in the current ownership since 2000 since when she has cruised on the English Channel coast, west coast of Scotland, Shetland, Norway and throughout the Baltic. From 2014- 2023/04 she was kept a

Malouine is registered as a European boat, no tax will be due in Europe, there is paperwork to support this. The owners also have an archive of her history including design and construction plans.
CONSTRUCTION
21mm teak planking above & below the waterline Main keel, stem, stern post of teak Teak main deck beams and carlins Bronze reinforced ring frames either side of mast Laminated Spruce coachroof beams Teak rudder Canadian rock elm bent timbers. Cast bronze floors and hanging knees.

Heads refurbished, seacocks serviced and replaced as necessary, new toilet (Jabsco).
2025 Localized re-caulking below the water-line to be carried out by Walsteds at the current owners' expense.
