Beneteau Blue II - E-Torque electrical engines from 2013

The sailing catamaran Beneteau Blue II was designed by Philippe Briand and manufactured by Beneteau in perhaps only 25-30 units. This model, produced in 1987, has undergone extensive renovation and updating since the current owner purchased the vessel in 2011. The ship is now in both cosmetically and technically excellent condition and is 100% ready for launch.

The Beneteau Blue II is a reliable and spacious catamaran that offers excellent sailing characteristics and comfort for both short and long voyages. The design results in a well-balanced vessel, making it a popular choice among sailing enthusiasts looking for a versatile and manageable multi-hull boat. The Beneteau Blue II is also suitable for coastal sailing due to it

The Beneteau Blue II is also suitable for coastal sailing due to its shallow draft, allowing for shallow water navigation that monohulls may avoid.

Overall, the "Vi to" has a spacious and bright layout with ample storage space. Amidships is a very bright and comfortable saloon, thanks to the large glass section and sliding door to the cockpit and the window section forward. There is a double cabin and pantry on the starboard side and a double cabin and separate toilet on the port side. The cockpit offers plenty of seating at the cockpit table as well as convenient winch operation and general vessel maneuvering with steering wheel and chartplotter and sonar on both starboard and port sides.

"Vi to" is an extremely nice and updated example of a versatile multi-hull vessel with excellent sailing characteristics and an impressive level of equipment, including the 2013 electric engines with batteries from 2021.

Please see the equipment list and summary below and contact me for further information.

General:
- Continuously renovated and updated since 2012, including osmosis treatment and replacement with E-Torque electric motors in 2013.
- Steering position on both sides with engine control on the starboard side.
- Incredibly easy to maneuver due to the two engines with a large distance between them.
- Very good sailing characteristics, partly due to the low weight.
- Approximately the same speed in knots as the wind speed in meters per second (e.g. 6 nm = 6 kn, 10 nm = 10 kn).
- Sails up to 15 knots and can maintain 11 knots over long distances (e.g. the owner's trip from Samsø to Rørvig).

Equipment:
- Garmin 722 plotters on both sides, connected with Ethernet.
- Raymarine autopilot with remote control.
- VHF and AIS receiver.
- Eberspächer oil boiler for heating.
- Fusion music system.
- 20 kg. Rocna main anchor in front and new Fortress FX-16 aluminum anchor for aft.
- Relatively new Aquaquick Rib hanging on "shelf" under/behind the cockpit.
- Shower on the bathing platform (cold water).
- Cockpit tent and covers for mattresses/cushions (2023).

Sails:
- Genoa (approx. 2012).
- Code 0 (2022).
- Spars (older but used very little).
- Mainsail (older - but OK).

Engine & electrics:
- Two 10 kW electric motors from E-Torque each with 10 kW lithium 48V batteries from 2021.
- Range approx. 40 nautical miles.
- Gori 2 blade folding propeller.
- 720 W solar cells charging one of the two 10 kW 48V batteries.
- Combined charger/inverter for one of the 48V batteries, which converts to 220V and distributes power to the other 48V battery and via separate chargers to two 100 Ah consumer batteries.
- It is also possible to charge batteries via 220V shore power.

Layout:
- Pantry in starboard hull with cool box.
- Huge saloon with good views to fore and aft.
- Large cockpit with Flexiteak floor, well protected and with nice cushions.
- New cockpit tent that turns the cockpit into an extra seating area in bad weather.
- Large trampoline, popular hangout for young and old, perfect for toys such as kite equipment and SUP boards.
- Two large anterooms, one of which has an oil-fired heater (20 l tank).
- Under the floor of the vestibules is a 180 l plastic water tank in each hull.
- One antechamber can be used as an extra berth for children.
