Despite her size and weight of 86 tons, she can be easily maneuvered with bow thruster and the 2 Cummings engines of 370HP each. Similarly large motor yachts will normally have much greater engine power and therefore much greater fuel consumption than the Ocean Saloon.
The Cummings engines are freshwater cooled and in excellent condition and serviced according to regulations.
The Ocean Saloon is built in mahogany and teak and corresponds to a living space of 170 m2. Below deck there are 6 cabins with room for 12 people with 3 large bathrooms. A 4th bathroom is at deck level, with access from the outside.
On the Ocean Saloon there are 4 decks: Peak deck (upper deck). Stroll deck (the deck around the superstructure). The foredeck and the aft deck.
The bridge is nostalgic, but with modern navigation equipment, and with direct access to the BB and SB Stroll Deck.
All life-saving equipment is included (life rafts and life jackets), as well as a 14-foot rubber dinghy with a 35 HP outboard motor, which can also be lifted onto the upper deck with its own mast crane.
All outdoor furniture; chairs, sun loungers and tables are included (mostly Trip Trap).
Below deck, the engine, generator, and other installations have been inspected and maintained by professionals, including many new ones.
Ocean Saloon was last on land in Gilleleje in June 2024, where it was overhauled.
Ocean Saloon is ready to sail and the 6 fuel tanks are filled with 6,000 L. GTL diesel.
