NAUTICAT 44

Nauticat 44 vintage 1979 in good condition and updated condition with a fully equipped for long distance sailing or habitation. The absolute top feature of the boat is the aft cabin. This is simply a cabin that is more like a hotel suite than a ship's cabin. It contains a large double bed, which is of course full standing height throughout the cabin. There is also a spacious toilet room with shower. This "owners cabin" benefits from the daylight that is allowed to shine in. This is possible because there are windows all around the cabin in the aft elevated part of the freeboard and the transom. Pilothouse with super light and spacious deck saloon furnished with a sofa group and from the table in the saloon there is a good view of the entire

Pilothouse with super light and spacious deck saloon furnished with a sofa group and from the table in the saloon there is a good view of the entire harbor. You are still one level higher than in traditional boats. The boat is equipped with steering wheel control in the saloon and a complete control and instrument panel. From the saloon you move down one level to the pantry, with plenty of cupboards, shelves and a fridge. In the forward cabin there is a good double berth and plenty of stowage space.
I see the Nauticat 44 as a well-sailing motor sailor that, unlike the "pure" sailboats, is so comfortable that one would not hesitate to live in it for months or use it as a houseboat.
Overall, the finish is world-class, even the top of the sea rail is teak. The boat is easy to board as the anchor sits under a small step board where the pulpit attaches. Finnish boatbuilders are renowned for their thoroughness and finish.
