There are also many cabinets and shelves.
There are 2 berths in the forward cabin which has 2 drawers and 2 smaller cupboards. There are 2 berths in the aft cabin, which also offers a table with sink, a 2 person sofa and lots of cupboard and drawer space. Amidships there is a large saloon with U-shaped sofa with table and a 2 person sofa. Aft of the saloon on the starboard side is a well-functioning navigation station with plenty of space for folders and books.
The forward cabin and the saloon are connected by a passageway, where on the starboard side there is a toilet with shower and on the port side there is a double wardrobe.
The boat is: L: 10,8m W: 3,63m D: 1,75 weight 11 tons, of which keel ballast 4,2 tons. The boat has a general headroom down to leeward of 1,92cm.
Sails: Furling genoa: 27m2, Mainsail: 25m2, Mainsail: 10m2 and a spinnaker.
It is very well-sailing, comfortable and stable, even in rough weather. Suitable for long distance sailing.
According to boat designer Ted Brewer's motion comfort ratio table of sailboats, a Scylla 36 ketch has a comfort ratio of 36.87. In comparison, for example, a Hallberg-Rassy 36 has a comfort ratio of 29.49 and a Bavaria 38 a comfort ratio of 24.20. The higher the number, the calmer and more comfortable the boat is to sail in relation to the waves at sea.
It has a large engine compartment with easy access to the engine and technical equipment. The engine is a 42 hp freshwater-cooled Vetus M 4.17 from 2007, which to date has been in operation 751 hours.
The boat is equipped with a fin keel and Vetus SD10 sail drive.
The boat is equipped with hydraulic steering and has an NKE hydraulic gyro pilot, which is switched on and off at the touch of a button. The gyro pilot has many settings and steers the boat really well in all weather conditions.
Down on the lee side, under the deck, there is a 500 liter stainless steel water tank, a 375L diesel tank and a 300 liter holding tank. An additional smaller diesel tank of 65 liters has been retrofitted for "everyday use".
On deck there is a large aft well with space for 2 x 11 kg gas bottles, and a large anchor well in the bow with space for anchor, anchor chain and fenders.
From the center cockpit there is access on the starboard side to a large chest bench for sail ropes etc.
The sail wardrobe, rig, cockpit tent, cushions in the forward cabin and aft cabin and a large part of the electronic equipment were replaced about 10 years ago. The boat has generally been looked after and maintained. Incidentally, a non-smoking boat.
