Skonnerten Meta
One of Denmark's most beautiful small schooners. Inspected every year by the Danish Maritime Authority and updated with new engine and sails.
Meta was built in Assens in 1884 and is now one of the last examples of cliff-built schooners.
In 1916, the ship sank off Samsø, but was fortunately salvaged and has since sailed as a cargo ship and rock fisherman. In 1999, the ship was completely renovated and has been restored to its original appearance.
Today it is located in Rudkøbing, where it sails the archipelago.
